“The toughest gig and musical phenomenon of the year!!!” is probably some international stadium or arena concert. Remember, though, that Lemmenmursut are also playing gigs.

Farmer Penttilä sings songs about the countryside, life, and love. He is accompanied by Engineer Holm, who plays his guitar with academic precision, dryness, and professionalism. The duo's musical journey includes stories and jokes, ballads and rock, but mostly mediocre pop by amateur poets.

Lemmenmursut perform self-written songs that they, in their own opinion, find highly funny and entertaining. “They are loved by the audience,” could be stated, if only there were any audience at their gigs.

“The audience eats out of Lemmenmursu’s hand,” Penttilä said, as he fed hay to the sheep.
