About Tallinn Fringe

Tallinn Fringe Festival started out as a collective of circus, theatre, dance, music and fire performers each performing their own shows plus co-creating to produce a unique group performance during 5 action packed days in December 2016, in Telliskivi Creative City in Tallinn, Estonia. The festival was called ”Boom Chika Wau Wau”

The festival was held as a counterpoint to the theatre festival ”Winter Nights”

Fast forward to 2024 and this 8th edition features multiple venues with a multitude of international and local shows under the easier to market, Tallinn Fringe Festival umbrella.

Tallinn Fringe is not curated by the festival team or a specially designated board of culture officials.

Artists contact venues directly and then the venues provide the confirmed shows to the festival.
This ensures a diverse, vibrant and colourful program for everyone, artists and audiences alike.

We would like to thank the British Council, Culture Ireland, Irish Embassy of Tallinn Estonia, Australian Embassy Estonia, Komeediklubi and Tallinna Kultuuri-ja Spordiamet who have made this edition possible.
