Tallinn Fringe Festival to Host Street Cabaret Press Preview at Raekoja Plats
Published on
The Tallinn Fringe Festival will officially kick off its media engagement with a vibrant press preview event on August 12 at 15:00 at Tallinn's iconic Town Hall Square (Raekoja plats).
Designed as a dynamic "street cabaret," the press event will offer local media outlets, journalists, and influencers an exclusive first look at the diverse lineup featured in this year's festival. Host and Master of Ceremonies Kaisa Ling will lead a fast-paced, 30-minute showcase highlighting the eclectic spectrum of performing arts central to the Fringe spirit.
The showcase features an array of quick-fire performances, including stand-up comedy from Cvmvnity, a teaser act by Burlesque Estonia, and vocal performances by Ling herself. Highlights from the music lineup include distinct performances from singer-pianist Rene Paul as well as classical composer and pianist Arashk Azizi.
"We aim to offer the press a true taster of everything we do," said Ling. "It will be a fast-paced, high-energy glimpse into the talent coming to Tallinn this season."
Connecting Artists with the Media#
The event serves as a key opportunity for participating performers to connect directly with the press. Tallinn Fringe Press Officer will be on-site alongside artists to facilitate interviews, media photo opportunities, short-form video content, and press pitches. Attendees can also look forward to complimentary refreshments, including popcorn and drinks provided by festival partners.
In the event of inclement weather, the showcase will shift to a nearby venue to ensure the program continues seamlessly.
