Tallinn Fringe 2026 is over, but the conversation continues. Join us at Heldeke! on 25 October for a free festival review and open discussion.
For 31 days this summer, Tallinn Fringe Festival filled the city with theatre, comedy, music, circus, cabaret, dance, spoken word and performances that did not always fit comfortably into any single category.
Now that the stages have gone quiet, it is time to look back.
On Sunday, 25 October, from 15:00 to 16:00, Tallinn Fringe invites artists, venues, volunteers, supporters and audience members to Heldeke! for the Tallinn Fringe – Festival Review 2026: an open gathering to examine this year’s festival, share what we learned and begin thinking about what comes next.
What Happened at Tallinn Fringe 2026?#
Tallinn Fringe 2026 ran from 18 August to 18 September, bringing a full month of independent performance to venues and unconventional spaces across the city. Its open-access structure once again created a programme in which very different forms, languages, artists and audiences could meet under the same festival umbrella.
But a festival is more than what happens on stage.
Behind every performance are venues, ticket sales, audiences, communication, volunteers, collaborations, experiments, successes, mistakes and countless decisions made along the way.
The Festival Review is a chance to put some of that bigger picture on the table.
We will go through the key statistics and numbers from Tallinn Fringe 2026, look at what happened across the festival, discuss what worked, what we can learn from this year, and where Tallinn Fringe can go from here.
Just as importantly, this is not intended to be a one-way presentation.
Your Thoughts Are Part of the Review#
Tallinn Fringe is built by a community, and everyone who took part experienced the festival from a different angle.
Perhaps you performed a show. Perhaps you hosted one. Maybe you volunteered, supported the festival, followed it online, or simply bought a ticket and walked into a room without quite knowing what to expect.
We want to hear from all of you.
