A Taste of Tallinn Fringe 2026
Published on
On August 12, 2026, the heart of Old Town witnessed a sudden transformation. The cobblestones of Raekoja plats (Town Hall Square) became an impromptu open-air stage as the Tallinn Fringe Festival team brought a pop-up street preview to the city. Giving tourists, local press, and unsuspecting passersby a taste of what is coming to Tallinn from August 18 to September 18, the event offered a lively glimpse into the month ahead.
High Energy, Humor, and Headlines#
The showcase kicked off with blues singer and Fringe Artist's Ambassador Kaisa Ling, who took the stage to introduce the Fringe festival and set the afternoon in motion.

Next up was pianist, singer, and comedian Rene Paul, who delivered a soulful, humor-infused blues performance that brought the bustling square to an attentive halt.

The atmosphere shifted into comedy as stand-up comedian Cvm Unity took the mic. Mixing crowd work with on-the-spot fortune-telling using her signature "Shit Happens" card deck, she had the audience laughing along as strangers discovered what fate had in store for them.

From Classical Music to Late-Night Burlesque#
The showcase continued with classical musician and composer Arashk Azizi, who performed a dramatic selection from his Divine Sonata, filling the historic square with intricate piano sounds.

Following classical music came a tease of late-night cabaret from Burlesque Estonia, First Katarina von Schatz commanded the cobblestones with a captivating solo performance**. d'Argento** followed immediately after, delivering a teaser of their stage routines.

To close out the press day, Kaisa Ling returned to the stage, joining Rene Paul at the piano for a collaborative finale of blues numbers.
